Championing Community Projects in Palm Beach
Beach Renourishment Project 2024/2025
The Citizens’ Association of Palm Beach actively supports the Town of Palm Beach’s coastal protection initiatives, including the ongoing beach renourishment projects. As of 2025, the Town has approved funding for three major nourishment efforts: the Midtown Beach project, South End sand placements from Phipps Ocean Park to the Ambassador Hotel, and dune rebuilding from Sloan’s Curve to Phipps Ocean Park. These projects aim to restore and protect the shoreline against erosion and sea level rise, with work expected to begin in January 2025. CAPB has hosted seminars on sea level rise and beach renourishment to educate members, emphasizing the importance of these efforts for the community’s future.
Land Use and Zoning Survey
In 2024, the Citizens’ Association of Palm Beach conducted a comprehensive land use and zoning survey, gathering feedback from residents to inform the Town’s zoning code rewrite. The results were shared with town officials and staff in October 2024, highlighting concerns and recommendations for maintaining Palm Beach’s quality of life. This initiative promotes transparency and collaboration, ensuring that development aligns with community needs. Other Community Projects
CAPB is also involved in additional projects, such as oversight of FDOT improvements and addressing South End resident concerns through dune renourishment and the Ambassador Hotel project. These efforts foster unity and drive positive change for condo and co-op members.
