My name is Rocco Talarico, Jr. I am a military veteran and currently reside at La Bonne Vie Condominiums. I previously resided in New York where I worked for Consolidated Edison Gas and Electric for 41 years. In addition to my position of gas and electric Inspector I was part of The Biological Chemical Weapon Emergency Response for Terrorism. I also conducted workshops for the Team. Additionally, I taught a System of Safety Program for UWUA Local 1-2 with Consolidated Edison.

In terms of my background experience, I previously held the voluntary position of vice president of the Throggs Neck Homeowner’s Association. I held this position for over 10 years where I was a community liaison dealing with traffic, sanitation, and Police Department issues and any other concerns presented to the Board by the residents. I also chaired and organized events such as parades, veteran memorials, and fund raiser in a very cost-effective way thus enabling the Association to sponsor additional events. Board members must know how to plan and understand the budget, manage the association’s finances, deal with disputes, discuss and carry out ideas, and listen to the owner’s concerns. I believe I have the necessary experience to do this well.

I was Chairman of The Community Board 10 Economic Development Committee for the City of New York where I provided oversight recommendations for permits issued to merchants opening new businesses within the community. I was also an Executive Board Member of Utility Workers Union Local 1-2 of New York. I was responsible for voting on various issues concerning our members and also helped negotiate contracts for Union Members.

I served as Treasurer of the Board of Governors at LBV from 2023 – February 2025. I’m proud to say I’ve opened high interest CD accounts that have resulted in earning additional funds for our Association. I’ve always taken an interest of how our funds were used to benefit the Home Owners and I will continue to do so.

In closing, I am currently the President of the Board of Governors of LBV. I initiated the process for a contract for replacement of all windows and doors in the common areas at LBV with the work to commence in September. I initiated the modernization of our service elevator which will be complete by the end of September. I also lead the planning of a reconfiguration of our Security Desk in the lobby main to better serve all of our residents and visitors Many other projects are pending.
